- Roasted and Powdered Walnuts – 2 1/4 cups
- Powdered Sugar cane jaggery – 1 cup (You can also use Palm Jaggery)
- Roasted Carob Powder – 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon powder – 1/4 teaspoon
- Dry ginger powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
- Clove powder – 1/4 teaspoon
- Nutmeg powder – a pinch
Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Make small ladoos.
Note
- Since I used good quality powdered jaggery, I did not dissolve it in water to remove impurities. The jaggery was already clean.
- Walnut is a powerful anti-oxidant. It calms the nervous system and supports healthy cholesterol levels. Walnut inhibits the production of beta-amyloid plaque in the brain and hence helps in preventing Alzheimer’s and other memory-related disorders. It is rich in potassium, magnesium, Vitamin E, Omega3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. It is also good for strengthening the bone marrow and reproductive tissue. Walnut pacifies Vata dosha and hence good for many Vata-related disorders such as general debility, arthritis and gout. Excess consumption of walnuts aggravate Pitta and Kapha dosha.
